Nothing here. Try another word: “arrow,” “check,” “star”…
Green G: we saw it in Google titles. Gray G: only in descriptions. Based on our test from October 2026, with 10 real Google searches in the US, Spain and Brazil. Google doesn’t publish a list of allowed symbols and may rewrite your title, so treat this as a guide. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
Here are 242 copy and paste symbols for titles, bios, ads and emails. They’re sorted the way a marketer uses them: arrows to guide, check marks for lists and stars to highlight.
How to copy and paste symbols in three taps
-
Search or pick a category
Type “arrow,” “check” or “euro,” or tap one of the eleven categories. If you only want the ones Google has shown, check “Only ones seen on Google.”
-
Tap the symbol
It’s copied and lands in “Your text.” Up top you get its name, Unicode code, HTML code and whether we saw it on Google.
-
Build your text and copy it
Stack several in “Your text,” type around them and hit Copy text. For your website, Copy HTML code gives you the entity ready to paste.
That’s the whole symbols copy and paste routine: no app, no sign-up, nothing saved.
Text symbols Google shows in titles and descriptions
Google doesn’t publish a list of allowed symbols. Its guide on how title links are generated only suggests separating your site name with a hyphen, colon or pipe. It also says Google may change a title that doesn’t reflect the page. So we checked for ourselves.
Two caveats. These were searches about symbols, so Google had a reason to show them; on a shoe store’s title it may decide otherwise. And ads play by stricter rules: the Google Ads editorial policy bans symbols that aren’t used for their intended purpose.
Check mark, heart and star symbol copy and paste: text or emoji?
“heart symbol copy and paste” gets 110,000 searches a month in the US, according to DataForSEO (October 2026), and most of those people want a heart that stays black. Here’s the catch: the heavy heart (U+2764) and the heavy check mark (U+2714) also exist as emoji, so many phones draw them in color.
For a heart or a check that stays black, use the white heart suit (U+2661) or the light check mark (U+2713), which have no emoji version. The same goes for any check mark symbol copy and paste you need in a spreadsheet. If you came for an arrow symbol copy and paste, the basic arrows (U+2190 to U+2193) are plain text everywhere. And the star symbol copy and paste classics, the black and white stars, are plain text too.
Keyboard symbols and Alt codes: Windows and Mac shortcuts
“Keyboard symbols” gets about 14,800 searches a month in the US and “alt codes” another 18,100, according to DataForSEO (October 2026). On Windows, hold Alt and type the code on the numeric keypad; these codes come from Microsoft’s own list. The Mac combos assume a US keyboard layout.
| Symbol | Windows | Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Euro | Alt + 0128 | Option + Shift + 2 |
| Degree | Alt + 0176 | Option + Shift + 8 |
| Pound | Alt + 0163 | Option + 3 |
| Cent | Alt + 0162 | Option + 4 |
| Section sign | Alt + 0167 | Option + 6 |
| Infinity | 221E, then Alt + X in Word | Option + 5 |
No numeric keypad on your laptop? Then Alt codes won’t work, so copy the symbol from the tool above. Arrows, stars and hearts have no key of their own either. In Word, you can type 2192 and press Alt + X for the right arrow, or 2605 for the black star.
Cute symbols copy and paste: aesthetic combos for your bio
“Cute symbols copy and paste” pulls about 33,100 searches a month in the US, and “aesthetic symbols copy and paste” another 6,600, according to DataForSEO (October 2026). The look comes down to three rules: one family of symbols, three per line at most, and plenty of white space.
- Soft: ✧ ♡ ⋆, from Stars and Hearts, for beauty and wellness brands.
- Minimal: ◦ and ─, from Bullets and Separators, for studios and consultancies.
- Nature: ✿ ❀ ♪, from Text icons, for florists, cafes and boutiques.
Here is one for a wedding photographer: “✦ Wedding photography ✦ Austin, TX ✦ Booking 2027 →”. It reads in one glance. Test it on a phone that isn’t yours, because a rare symbol can show up as an empty box when the device has no font for it.
Cool symbols for bios, titles and emails: real examples
- Product page: “Women’s Trail Running Shoes | Free 2-Day Shipping,” with the pipe Google itself mentions.
- Yoga studio bio: bullets between what you teach, where and how to book.
- Welcome email: a light check mark before each perk.
- LinkedIn post: circled numbers for the steps of a process.
Before you publish a title, paste it into our SERP simulator to see where it gets cut. Don’t let the symbol crowd out your long-tail keyword, which goes first. Want color instead? Grab our emoji copy and paste tool.
Frequently asked questions about copy and paste symbols
What’s the keyboard shortcut for the trademark symbol?
On Windows, hold Alt and type 0153 on the numeric keypad. On a Mac, press Option + 2. In Word, type (tm) and AutoCorrect turns it into the symbol, or type 2122 and press Alt + X. No numeric keypad on your laptop? Go to our trademark symbol copy and paste button under Trademark and legal: one tap and it’s on your clipboard.
What’s the difference between the R in a circle and the TM symbol?
The circled R means the trademark is registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and you can only use it once the registration is granted. The TM symbol just tells people you claim that name or logo as your brand, registered or not. Putting the circled R on an unregistered mark can land you in legal trouble, so start with TM and switch once the USPTO approves your application.
How do I type the copyright symbol?
On Windows, hold Alt and type 0169 on the numeric keypad. On a Mac, press Option + G. In Word and Google Docs, typing (c) usually turns into the symbol on its own. On iPhone and Android, the quickest route is a copyright symbol copy and paste: tap it under Trademark and legal here and paste it into your footer, caption or photo credit.
How do you type symbols on a keyboard?
Windows 10 and 11 have a built-in panel: press the Windows key + period and open the Symbols tab (the omega icon). On a Mac, Control + Command + Space opens the Character Viewer. On your phone, press and hold a key to see its variants; holding the dollar sign shows other currencies. Alt codes and Unicode codes work too, but copying from a list like this one is usually faster.
